i want something to be able to make movies with and i want it to be a free download….i had been using windows movie maker, but it doesnt support quicktime files…..i need something that does.

You are unlikely to find a free video editor that’s better than Windows Movie Maker. If I were you, I would download the free Microsoft Expression Encoder

Use that to convert the video to WMV, then edit with Movie Maker.
