What is the best video editing software under $100?

I love making vids and posting them to my youtube account. I mostly use footage from animated movies, tv shows, stuff like that. I have Windows Movie Maker, which has been fun, but it’s time to move on to making bigger and better stuff. 😀 So, I’m looking for software where I can make really awesome videos for a decent price, with decent effects, and that is not too difficult to figure out. Requirements would be: 1. Under $ 100 2. MUST include at least these effects: Slow mo, speed up, fade in from white, fade in from black, fade out to white, fade out to black, and mirror (flip the picture the other way around). I do of course want other much better effects, but it HAS to include these ones. 3. I don’t want to have to sit forever going through tutorials and reading manuals and how to do everything, so something that is fairly simple to figure out would be great.
I downloaded Sony Vegas HD Platinum 10 trial version. It seems really confusing to me, and I don’t like how you can’t preview an effect before you put it on your clip. I also downloaded Cyberlink PowerDirector 9 trial, which I like, but so far I haven’t been able to find the fade in/fade out to black/white. Such a basic effect, I’m surprised its not in there…Anyhow, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
