In the movie and book, Hitchikers Guide to the Galaxy, when Zaphod, Artur, Ford and Co. go to Magrathea, or whatever planet the portals were on (correct me in your answer for 10 pts as well), Zaphod and Ford went into one portal arthur seemed to get left behind. Where did the man that shows up take Arthur exactly? I know Magrathea used to be a planet making business, but went away, my guess is they seemed to “stop” doin it so everyone wasnt poor anymore (detailed in the book). To make that allusion I believe they made the portals to hide where they were making planets. But does anyone know where that portal took arthur and the man??????

It’s been a while since I saw it, but as I recall, that was when Slartibartfarst took Arthur on a tour of Magrathea’s “factory floor” to see planets under construction, including a new Earth.
