I’m going into eight grade next year and need a computer. Im not going to be using to for much, but I am planning on using it for maybe for high school. I’m just going to be writing papers, editing videos, making movies, photography/editing them, and using GarageBand mostly. How much RAM and memory do I need? What is the difference?

The most demanding of those tasks is probably movie editing. most macbooks are made to be good at video editing(which is why many prefer them over windows notebooks). The Macbook pro is probably the best choice. The lower end pro, the 13″ can handle video editing but if you want to edit HD videos than you want to go for any of the 15″ pros (with and iX processor). If you want more screen space then you could go for the 17″ but otherwise the 15″ is fine.
