Question by Mr. C: Why do people insist on calling Wizard of Oz a good movie for kids?
The movie is creepy and the witch is scary as hell. You’ve got flying monkeys and a witch who is green and is threatening to kill Dorothy. Sure it’s great and all but I find the movie to be more of a horror than a kids movie. I think people just don’t want to admit that when they were a kid watching it they were scared as hell. As a kid i was scared of the witch more than anything else (I still watched it when it aired on TV every year lol). Maybe hollywood should try doing it right and make a remake of the movie. This time make the witch less evil (you’d think she was a demon) and make it a lot jollier like a kids movie should be.
@george actually i found but a lot of people were scared of the movie. And a halloween witch would boil her in a pot not threaten her life and tell her shes gonna kill her. Have you ever seen the movie? You seriously going to say a 3-10 year olds not going to find that disturbing.
