Question by pikago5001: windows vista movie maker keeps crashing my pc?
everytime i try to get on movie maker i can edit some files and then bam i get the blue screen and it says memory dump to disk (crash) i looked back and it said svchost was at fault but im also told that my anti virus software can do this as well if theres more than one going now im experianced with hardware and most software conflicts but this has me puzzled what is causing the file to become unstable and if its currupt how do i repair the file cause it is a system file i belive i didnt make a backup disk and my pc didnt come with a spare windows vista disc the files im wanting to are mp3 and mov formats i dont think the mov files would crash it as i can play them no problem please help me

Using to much RAM Vista needs 2g to run successfully anything less and your pushing you know what up hill.
